J GRAIE ft. MOOKIE MOTONIO "HEART STOP" !!!! XOXO

http://m.soundcloud.com/jgraie/jgraie-ft-mookie-motonio-heart …
Okkkkk Soooooo I love hip-hop, especially when it's fun, and infused with pop!!!! I really love the way love and feelings can be expressed through a song. There's always that 1 moment, where without expecting it...music finds it's way into a particular life situation you may be dealing with. There has been times where I was feeling a certain emotion ...but I couldn't find the words to express how I was feeling. Or maybe I had the words in my heart, but was thinking "damn Jenny...it'd be awesome if a woman could sing your heart for you...cuz you know your as* can't sing" Or maybe I wished I had a lil more attitude and sass to pull off a certain musical expression. Well....I just happen to be riding in around, lost in deep thought when I pushed in a mixtape from COCO Z THE MIX MISTRESS (*S/o to COCO!!!!)

http://m.soundcloud.com/jgraie/jgraie-ft-mookie-motonio-heart …
As soon as the beat  dropped my shoulders started to bounce. Before I knew it my neck was going full 'Beyonce"(*head rolls, shakes, and hair swings)....my finger was extended, pointing at an invisible "ex", and I was totally taken over by the music!!!! Just when I started to question "who in the world is this DOPE AS* chic singing the realist sh*t EVER?!!!) I heard MOOKIE MOTONIO jump in!!!!!!! "HEART STOP" is 1 of the dopest female/male collab tracks ever!!! J GRAIE and MOOKI MOTONIO chemistry is insane!!! Sometimes you hear a collab with a male and female artist and there is no connection, or the verses seem like 2 totally different stories being told. Yet "HEART STOP" is some kind of pop, hip-hop, love story...told by a female vs male perspective.

J GRAIE voice is so rich and soulful, it automatically reminded me of early 80's artists like almost Whitney Houston in her mega pop era, or maybe even Aaliyah with a fat beat behind her. The kind of love song that makes you still wanna dance. The beat on "HEART STOP" has "DEZ ON THA BEAT" who himself has been doing major production for hella artists.  I mean once you hear the beat...you think..."it's gonna take a creative mofo to catch this beat"...so the fact that J GRAIE is singing, and MOOKIE MOTONIO managed to kill it totally is DOPE!!!!

Have you ever heard a song that made so much sense, that you found yourself pressing replay ova and ova again!!! "HEART STOP" is a beautiful, crazy fast paced love story. It's beat and J GRAIE lyrics are contagious. MOOKIE MOTONIO comes across as being cocky, but he quickly admits "I'm a lil man with big hurt"...damnnnnn....*if that aint a lil truth fo ya a*s (*headroll fingsnap)

I can't wait to see the visual for this song "HEART STOP"!!!! "DEZ ON THE BEAT" out did himself. J GRAIE and MOOKIE MOTONIO mos def made a beautiful love song!!!!! It will make your "HEART STOP"!!! XOXO

DJ BALL PRESENTS "THE KNEW ME CYPHER" *MOS DEF OFFICIAL!!!

Okkkkkk Sooooo when I heard that "another cypher" had just been dropped....I will admit...I didn't rush to click the link. I mean...let's face it. The day n age of an "authentic battle"...I mean a real, artistic, creative mosh up of artists... hungry to showcase their freestyle skills, amongst other artists ... just doesn't seem to be appreciated it like it used to be. Don't get my wrong, I appreciate what other artists, dj's and promoters have done in the past...to resurrect the art of a true "CYPHER". Yet I myself have felt like these "modern day cyphers"...leave me feeling somewhat unsatisfied. *Like when I eat a huge portion of chicken and shrimp from Benihanas....and 30 mins later...I'm hungry like I never ate. *yeah...that feeling. When I finally decided to open the link...I was immediately surprised!!!

The backdrop for "The Knew Me Cypher" looks AMAZING!!!!! Right out that gate, you enter the Get It Poppin Radio Station. Any and every artist *damn near is familiar with this infamous studio. Get It Poppin is a unique place where artists drop by at any given time to swap music, drop off promo material, and let's not forget...possibly doing a dope as* interview for 1 of the many shows on the radio that the studio offers. The walls in "The Knew Me Cypher" are covered from top to bottom with every artist you can imagine promo, mixtape release posters, awards and many visuals of many artists accomplishments.

I LOVE the setting because its a true Hip-Hop feel. The studios atmosphere alone can be full-filling as well as satisfying. If you have ever been to Get It Poppin , you would know that the studio isn't the biggest....but the way the "The Knew Me Cypher" was shot...the studio comes across as being larger than life!!! DJ Ball managed to do 1 of the BEST jobs ever...accomplishing what others have only seemed to be struggling to accomplish in this new generation of "FREESTYLING". With that being "read"...I give you "The Knew Me Cypher"....

* I freestyle by myself *hehehe

No really....this cypher is full of TALENT

Everyone is different...got their own style

I'm glad nobody was tryna act like they were better than anyone else

DAMN the studio looks good on camera

I gotta give it to Dj Ball....

It's gonna be hard to try and out top this

This is how cyphers should be

Awwwwww I feel like I'm in the Basement at Rap City on BET

I miss that show

After "The Knew Me Cypher" ended...I musta pushed replay at least 10 times. Of course I had to go back and watch everyone spit their bars...and each and every single time I watch it I find myself watching with a lil smirk upon my face. Like "hell yeah...Ball out did himself with this". In the city of CLEVELAND it's difficult to get a group of artists together, to do something as simple as...spitting over a beat. Some people may say it's "ego", or "popularity" status. I like to sum it up as "music politics". Dj Ball managed to break down the barries of ego, popularity, and politics. "The Knew ME Cypher" allowed you to witness some of Clevelands dopest MC's, and possibly the most underrated artists. Just to see each artists bobbing their head as each other took turns at the CAVALIER mic was exciting, admirable, and a beautiful thing to watch musically. No one tried upstage the next man. "The Knew Me Cypher" was presented how a cypher should be. A nice cool atmosphere, where hip-hop covers the walls, 1 of the dopest Dj's in the city, not screaming and yelling over the artists...but quietly playing tha back...and a mixture of dope ass beats.

I respect each artist more than I did before...because with a few bars, you really had a chance to "get to know" Shuicide, MOOKIE, YOUNG SHON, Crazy 8, and SYXX. Dj Ball showed that it is possible to pull off the unimaginable ...without having to use a "fancy location", and without having hella "crew members" tryna be all in the front. I know fo fact that people have watched "The Knew Me Cypher" and said "damnnnnnn lemme watch dis 1 mo time". We may have thought we already knew these artists. Yet now we know "The Knew Me" cypher!!!! XOXO

S/o to MEDGERY for makin a DOPE VISUAL!!!!!!!!!!!

AIR JORDAN 4 RETRO "TORO BRAVO"

Air Jordan 4 | KicksOnFire.com
Okkkk Soooo....I don't know if its just me...but this summer....hasn't really felt like Summer just yet. It may be from all this random wet rainy weather (*try and say that 5 times fast). But recently ...the weather finally broke. I mean I won't call it a "miracle", or even fate....but I will call it ...1 lucky ass day for my feet!!!!! As I stumbled thru the plaza in East Cleveland...please don't ask me why I was there (ok ok the gyro house on the corner has theeee best fries!!! *headroll fingasnap) I found myself tugging hard on the door at FOOT ACTION. I mean... I was being so sluggish, and not my ususal self when approaching a sneaker store. I mean the days seemed to just kinda pass by...I couldn't even remember what day it was exactly. While I strolled in , the smell of sneaker glue slowly started to lift my spirits...and suddenly I perked up and my eyeballs that originally felt like they were hanging outside my head...began to scan the walls first slowly, then faster and faster. Just like that my body and mind reminded that something magical, wonderful, and exciting had recently happened!!!!! Just to make sure I wasn't tripping off the earlier effects of my fine herbal refreshments...I turned and asked the sales guy..."ummm did you get anything new"?

Like slow motion in an action film, the sales guy pointed up high , the skies parted, and Michael Jordan handed me a RETRO 4 "TORO BRAVO"!!!!!! Ok okkkkkkk...it didn't happen like that...Michael Jordan was nowhere in sight.Actually I had to stand on my tippy toes to reach em.The sales guy said "yeah they finally released them July 13!" It was July 17th...I couldn't believe I had missed the date! As I turned the beautiful red sneaker over and over in my hands,I could feel myself smiling. I mean the BLACK CEMENT 3's are my all time favorite Jordans, but these RETRO 4's mos def come in 2nd. I love the way they kinda reversed the colors, giving more red, but still using black as a lining as well as grey to unite these colors. The color scheme is satisfying, which is difficult to pull off. (*I mean an all RED shoe can sometimes look disgusting!)  I heard that they may restock this pair, but I wasn't taking any chances so I copped mine already. Make sure you apply some kind of water protection on them because they have a suede feel kinda like the classic Michael Jordan RETRO V, and not to sound like an ass...but...if you scuff my RETRO 4's....yeah...I will feel disrespected!!!! Cuz they are DOPE!!! XOXO

PETER BLVNCO PRESENTS "TRILLUMINATI" and it's EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW!!!!!

http://livemixtap.es/hkl
Okkkkkk Sooooo...yes....I am one of "those people". *Ya know... the kind of people that thinks everything happens for a reason. I believe that 1 doesn't know the meaning of his or her existence, even destiny...until the right moment happens that sends a sign. . A moment in time that kinda guides you to your legacy, or destiny. I was hosting the Get It Poppin Black Kush Radio Showcase at club PHANTASY. We had the dopest set list ever!!! I mean it was soooo many of CLEVELAND's finest musical talent , all ready to perform. I had been previously entertained by a few of the artists like Darren Anthony and Shuicide Holla. I had decided to wiggle my way to the back of the stage ,and become Dj Decoration for Coco Z the Mix Mistress. The crowds energy was just reaching it's peak as I scrolled my finger down the set list to see who I was introducing next. My finger stopped halfway down. I mumbled the name so I wouldn't mess it up...stepped to the front and looked to side of the stage. I noticed the tallest dude ever...quietly and patiently waiting...for what looked like his turn. I did a double take once I noticed that this dudes legs were  super long. He had 1 knee up leaning against the steps...kinda feeling the crowd. He didn't look nervous. He looked more focused than anything. Besides having the face of a baby, this guy...seemed as tho, he was taking in every single thing that was happening around him. I watched his eyes slowly scan the audience.

It was finally time!!!That 1 moment in a person's life....where their dream...is actually being fulfilled at that very moment. Many of us ...are dreamers. We spend a majority of our life time...just dreaming about our dreams. Only a small fraction of us dreamers...will actually fulfill most of our dreams...let alone just 1. Just imagine...if 1 day...when you least expected it...that everything would be perfectly aligned , like the stars, timing, location, and people. Imagine if all of those components were used as ingredients...poured together...and suddenly you found yourself fulfilling your destiny...accomplishing your dreams.

I grabbed the mic...looked to side of the stage..looked back at the crowd....and introduced PETER BLVNCO!!!!!!!!!!!

http://livemixtap.es/hkl

Q. How did you get your name Peter Blvnco?
A. Hahahah welllll....my name is Bryan...I was playing ball back at school, people always thought I was really tall....and since I'm kinda lightskin...they used to call me "blanco"....which means "white" or something in Spanish.

Q. Where are you from?
A. I'm from E.C, I went to VASJ.

Q. It seems like you kinda just popped up outta nowhere. What were you doing before you started making music?
A. Mannnnn I was working at Wal-Mart. Yeah I was working the real shitty ass shift...that 4pm - 1am schedule.

Q. Wait!!!!! You worked at Wal-mart! Which Wal-Mart?
A. I used to work out at the 1 at Severance lol hahahah, I used to unload the trucks.

Q. YIKES!!!!!!!!! That Wal-Mart is a mess, did you like working there?
A. HAHAHAH yeah it was a mess, it was cool, I was only there for about a year.

Q. How long have you been making music?
A. Your gonna trip....but...honestly....I've only been doing music for about 7-8 months....yup...thats about it.

Q.WAIT WAIT WAIT!!!!! Soooooo you've only been making music for less than a year? How did you get started?
A. Welllll back in H.S. there always used to be that group of dudes at the back of the lunch room, making beats on the tables and garbage cans...rapping. I was always the tall, athletic, silly dude...the funny guy. One day they were like "yoooo let's hear what you got", and after I spit for them...people were like "yeah you sound kinda nice", so I decided to just put my all into it.

Q. How old are you?
A. 22

Q. Who are some local artists you look up to?
A. Mannnn it's a few of them...I really fuck with Kirk Steelz...I respect everyone working, but yeah Kirk is dope. Prodigal is real nice too!

Q. Before you started making music, had you ever been inside a real recording studio?
A. NOPE...all this is new to me...I had never even been in a studio...crazy right..

Q.How would you describe you musical sound?
A. It's a mix between west coast, and down south....I'm a huge fan of chopped and screwed music.

Q. Who are some of the few famous artists that influenced your sound?
A. Mannnnnn Dj screw, Pimp C, Bun- B...yeah UGK...I grew up listening to alot of UGK.

Q.What is the name of your mixtape?
A. TRILLUMINATI

Q.What is the whole concept behind your artwork for the mixtape, and the title TRILLUMINATI?
A. Welll....my dad is a FREE MASON. So I grew up surrounded by literature on the Illuminati. I was also kinda interested in the conspiracy theories, and all that stuff....

Q.Who provided most of the production on TRILLUMINATI?
A. Rockstar J'Da

Q. How did you hook up with CIRCLE SIDE?
A. I just happen to be at an event they were throwing, and I met Bee, and found out she was doing the manager thing...so we linked up. She's bad too...like she handles business...she's dope.

Q. What was the most difficult part about breaking into the music industry?
A. Dammmnnnn to be honest...Cleveland...is a city where most people only associate with peopl that are already inside of their circle. It's hard for a newcomer, like myself to get inside of a circle. I mean at first...I was growing bitter, I was frustrated cuz I felt like shit was never gonna happen....but then all of the sudden it did.

Q. So do you think, its about the talent, or all about who you know to get in in this industry?
A. I think it's a lil of both. I mean you gotta have the talent, but at the same time you gotta have someone who supports your music, and pushes for you. It takes both....I'ma keep it real and say.... "you gotta know the right people".

Q. What's the name of your team?
A. CREEZ MOB....it's me, E-Lo, Prodigal, Jovi Spanglish,Ghutti Mac, Hec, Shamont..it's a few of us

Q. I noticed you have some heavy hitters that are a part of your mixtape. How did you manage to link up with Dj Ryan Wolf? He's extra selective about who he works with and promos.
A. I mean Ryan and I knew each other because we shared mutual friends. I used to fuck with him when he would be out at CHOICES. He heard me flo and told me I sounded dope....soooo we've been working together ever since. Yeah...he's been a big mentor.

Q.How would you describe the word "Passion"?
A. It's that 1 thing you must have in order to be successful.

Q. What 3 pairs of sneakers must you have?
A. Haaaa...I mean I'm a simple kinda guy. I can rock some Cucks, or Dirty Vans...but I mean...I'm have to roll with Dirty Vans, the Cement 3's , and the Playoff 8's.

Q.Where was your 1st show?
A. It was at the PHANTASY.

Q. So you mean that show I saw you perform at was your very 1st live shoe...EVER?
A. YES!!!! HAHAHAHAHA.....yeah that was my 1st show ever.

Q. Were you nervous?
A. Yooooo I'd be cap pin...if I said I wasn't nervous. I mean of course I was a li lnervous. I mean I had those lil butterflies in my stomach...but I had good tree running thru my body, and I had had a couple of drinks...so I was cool...I was just right.

Q. Is that your TURN UP diet?
A. HA! Yeah I guess....I mean...I smoke...but I'm not a heavy smoker, I jus smoke enough to get me leveled...Weed makes me alert, get's me all creative like, but I've written some dope music while I was totally sober...when I'm sober, my true feelings come out.

Q. What were your first thoughts when you hit the stage at your first show?
A. I was in shock! I guess I was thinking...wow...like I'm really here on this stage, about to rock out. I was thinking about how not to long ago I was a spectator at events, now I'm actually performing.

Q.Are you excited about everything that is happening?
A. Yeah...hell yeah...but maybe a lil nervous too....cuz...man...all this is happening sooooo fast...(*sigh)

PETER BLVNCO stepped on the stage...cool as ever. His long legs slowly walking cross the stage, he had the stage presence of a seasoned westcost rapper. From his socks pulled up past his ankles (*that always looks so friggn dope!), to the way he rocked the crowd, PETER BLVNCO executed his 1st ever live performance, with class, confidence, attitude and power. The crowd looked totally engaged. I mean PETER BLVNCO was soooo smooth with his delivery, not over animated, but controlled and determined. After he finished performing I watched as he was surrounded with endless dap, handshakes, smiles from the females, and nods from some of Cleveland's seasoned artists.

We all have thought out exactly what we would say, or what we would do...if we ever found ourselves...smack dab in the middle of our destiny. Sure...it's simple for us to "predict" how we will feel...especially if we haven't found ourselves in that exact moment of dream fulfillment. PETER BLVNCO...is literally living his dream...right before us, his fans, his family, and all the non believers. PETER BLVNCO is living proof...that 1 must be mentally and physically ready...for that 1 unexpected moment...when your door may knock...and it's your destiny. Sure there will be "those people" who will casually brush off difficult accomplishments...by saying "awwww it's just luck, or thats just cuz they know such n such". Yes...luck, and connections are a part of destiny and fate, but we as people all to often forget...that TALENT...TALENT is the glue to any destiny or accomplishment....any real accomplishment. PETER BLVNCO has the talent of a million men. Now that's Trill...TRILLUMINATI!!!!XOXO
